Here at Island Goddess we are dedicated to limiting our impact on the environment and offsetting our Carbon footprint as much as possible. That's why we have partnered with Tree Nation to plant trees and gift our amazing customers trees to plant with every product purchased.

Why Plant Trees?

Climate change is potentially one of the most devastating and hardest challenges the world faces, slowly getting worst year by year.

For years the focus for minimising climate change has been to minimise the release of greenhouse gases or CO2 emissions into our atmosphere, and we are well on the way with a more than 70% increase in consumers switching to more eco-friendly alternatives in their day to day lives.

But what do we do about the CO2 emissions already in the atmosphere? WE PLANT TREES.

Trees absorb CO2 by storing the C (Carbon) and ejecting O2 (Oxygen). Other carbon capture solutions are being developed, but reforestation is by far the most efficient and affordable solution and probably over 100 times cheaper than the next best solution.

Another extraordinary difference is the quantity of other amazing benefits of planting trees. Trees serve as habitats to millions of species, bring revenue to local populations, help us get food, fodder, and medicine, clean our air from toxins, purify our rivers and water resources- click here to find out more. But today we are losing trees every year because of deforestation. Approximately 17% of climate change is caused by our loss of trees, an impact on global greenhouse gas emissions even greater than the entire transport sector. So we cannot pretend to fight climate change without solving deforestation.

When you place your order with us (thank you by the way), you will first receive your confirmation email about your purchase, after that you will receive an

an email from Tree-Nation letting you know that Island Goddess Organics has offered you one tree as a gift to plant within our very own forest. The email will include a link to our personalised forest where you can plant your very own tree!. If you don't receive the email, please just check your spam.

Once you've planted your tree, you have the option to leave us a message, read about the species of tree you planted, how much CO₂ it has offset and which planting project you have contributed to.

As an added bonus, you can also download your own tree certificate with all the information about your tree!
